Kitchen Specialist Job at YWCA McLean County
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Kitchen Specialist is responsible for cooking and distributing lunch to all children on site. This person will maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and food storage areas in compliance with the McLean County Health Department (MCHD), Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), and YWCA McLean County policies and procedures. All responsibilities are expected to be delivered with superior customer service. This person also shops for the program as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Food Handler training required upon hire.
· Experience cooking required.
· Experience working in a kitchen setting and with kitchen utensils/equipment required.
· Maintain qualifications to be approved by DCFS.
· Proficiency in English required.
· Good verbal and written communication skills required.
· Basic knowledge of child care settings preferred.
· Attention to detail.
· Ability to communicate orally with other employees and public in a professional setting.
WORK HOURS
Part-time; 20 hours per week; 9:30 am – 1:30 pm, Monday – Friday.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
