The Main Role of our Kennel Attendant:

Playing with and interacting with dogs of all sizes and breeds both indoors and out. Keeping the facilities clean and safe. The Kennel Attendant position is a very physically demanding role that requires a lot of walking and standing. You must be comfortable working with dogs, and be able to move and restrain small and large dogs of all breeds.

Core Accountabilities and Results:

• Kennel and cage cleaning, including taking out the trash, laundry and dishwashing and cleaning up after dogs
• Walking dogs and general dog handling
• Feeding and medicating dogs
• Record keeping of all animal feedings, treatments, abnormal activities, etc.
• Playing with and interacting with dogs of all sizes and breeds both indoors and out.
• Monitoring the health and comfort of the animals as well as recognizing emergency situations and any health concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Build productive trust relationships with customers
• “Go the extra mile” for customers

What you bring to the job:

• Must enjoy communicating with customers and other team members
• Have reliable Transportation
• Open availability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
• Have a love for animals
• Be self-motivated, personable and trustworthy

• Patience with the animals
• ALWAYS practicing safety procedures
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
