SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Junior Software Developer to join our team! The Software Engineer will work on Navy Tactical Systems.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing software changes for impacts relative to complexity, throughput, and accuracy
• Developing and assessing Software Development Plans, Software Requirements Documents,SoftwareDesign Documents, Interface Design Documents, and other software documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• (3) years of Software Engineering experience in the areas of computer software architecture, design, and development
• Experience in assessing software changes for impacts relative to complexity, throughput, and accuracy.

Additional Requirements:

• Due to the requirements in the Safer Federal Workforce Taskforce guidance and the nature of our covered contracts and facilities, all employees may need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a legal exemption with approved accommodation.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience analyzing ADA, C++, Java, or Python
• Experience in real time operating systems

Education: Must have a B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics.

Minimum Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance

Travel (if applicable): 20% Travel to LBTS to for integration testing with the host combat system.
