This role
As our first in-house IT hire, we are looking for someone to help establish and maintain systems to manage Fathom’s assets, including employee devices, Fathom servers, lab computers and our networks. This person will be situated within the Operations team and work closely with members of the Ops team as well as our Strategy team to understand and implement processes appropriate for our IT and security needs.

Areas of contribution:*
- Maintain IT-related procedures for onboarding/offboarding and other workflows, for example: manage access control, maintain device inventory & compliance reports
- Resolve issues with employee devices
- Administer local Linux systems
Requirements (necessary skills for this role):
- Demonstrated experience in organizational IT management
- Demonstrated experience of working as a systems admin for Linux, ideally at a small to mid-size company
- Experience administrating on-prem servers and hardware
- Familiarity with principles and tools involved in device management, including installing and administrating RMM/MDM tools on both Mac and Windows devices
- Skill debugging IT-related issues, ranging from hardware issues to identifying software problems
- Basic skills with Linux administration including bash
Nice-to-haves (we will prioritize candidates that also have these skills):
- Familiarity with security principles and best practices, such as in networking, personal device security, and information security
- Experience working independently
- Experience transitioning a team from contracted IT support to in-house support
Indicative salary range for this role: $80,000 - $120,000
