The IT Applications Specialist proactively participates in managing, optimizing, and connecting to several different data sources, systems, and technologies. Will work to understand and extract maximum value from various applications throughout the entire company. Experience with various enterprise applications and connectivity across various data structures is required. This individual will be responsible for systems management (cloud and on-premises) and integration between data sources, internal data systems and various database and accounting environments following established industry best practices. In addition, they will be involved with application security, system availability, analysis, and uptime to help deliver results in a dynamic environment. This position reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work with IT staff to develop strategies and plans to enhance client services, improve user effectiveness, and foster innovation and adoption across all company applications and systems.
- Participate and provide support for all IT software-related projects by developing logical and efficient project plans, identifying priorities, monitoring task completion, anticipating issues, and collaborating with team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Communicate regularly with Director of IT, other department managers and supervisors and all end-users of information services and systems.
- Work with other IT staff, including training, guidance, and team cohesiveness.
- Co-author and develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and to end-users.
- Support development of the IT staff to meet the changing needs of users, groups, and offices; new projects and technologies; and provide internal support for staff of varying technical strengths.
- Follow established standards for creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user guides, license agreements and renewals, and documentation of modifications and upgrades.
- Integrate and collaborate with 3rd party software and hardware providers/vendors for all managed services and develop ability to monitor and evaluate these services effectively.
- Involved with data and application security and maintaining integrity of company assets, intellectual property, data governance which provides plans and actions to obtain an adequate system redundancy and failover protection for critical company resources.
- Assist with provisioning of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services as needed.
- Support Honeyville’s overall mission and follow all standards, policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.
- Solve problems and communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing.
- Actively supports colleagues by sharing information about the department, business unit and organization.
- Contributes to standards, process creation, process automation, process improvement projects through data analytics, and statistical analysis.
- Performs other related duties as assigned per the IT Director.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with advanced IT Systems, enterprise level services, and cloud-based applications.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent and proven leadership skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple high priority projects and balance time and resources as needed.
- Solid hardware/software troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn
- Understanding of Information Technology Industry and trends and willing to learn and advance skillset as needed
- Must be a team player with effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with internal and external parties.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Strong creative thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
- High commitment to excellent service levels and satisfaction with partners.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

The position requires the ability to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals, ability to sit, stand or walk for several hours, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools or other computer components and ability to travel as necessary.
