Seven Isles Capital, founded in 2017 and based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is a privately held holding and management company for the operating assets of the DeAngelo Family (i.e., a single-family office). We provide flexible, long-term capital, and truly partner with the businesses and people we invest in. Our ten-person team is comprised of family principals as well as investment, legal, marketing, IT, and administrative professionals. We are seeking to add an investment analyst to our growing team. We currently have 14 portfolio investments (7 active, 7 passive). Our focus industries include healthcare, business services, and auto dealerships. Our group sees 10+ investment opportunities a month and are looking to expand and grow our team to continue to build our family office capabilities. Core Responsibilities

  • Evaluating investment opportunities, market trends, competition, etc.
  • Developing investment memos, summarizing industry information, communicating with potential investment leads for Seven Isles (i.e., follow up questions, timing, next steps, etc.)
  • Financial modeling for investment opportunities, growth opportunities in current portfolio companies, debt / equity financing and ad-hoc analyses
  • Due diligence support – buy-side and sell-side.
  • Sourcing – building network for potential investment opportunities.
  • Family office building / administrative (e.g., drafting templates, databases, planning events, social media, etc.)

Note: There are several contexts in which you will be using these skills, ranging from evaluating investment opportunities and supporting acquisition / sale / capital raise processes, to working with our existing portfolio companies.

Skills / Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management / prioritization skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong command of accounting, as well as finance principles
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, and/or accounting
  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, and/or private equity
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Other

  • Reports directly to Danny Berz (CIO) but will work closely with entire team and portfolio companies.
  • Based in Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia (or eastern PA)
  • Total compensation will be market competitive with like roles / responsibilities
