Pay Grade
Salary grade 10

$86,100 - $99,300 / year, depending on experience and qualifications.

The base salary range represents the starting and expected pay for this position. Actual salaries may vary and in some cases may be higher with extensive experience and strong performance.

Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Other hours as needed)

This is a hybrid-remote position in Collegedale, TN with two days on-site per week.

Job Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist researches, analyzes, and recommends changes to the organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability.

  • Lead, Design, and Develop Inventory Control processes across all sites
  • Leads team to design, develop, and manage MRP processes and software
  • Leads process improvement efforts to increase efficiency and profitability of inventory processes
  • Develops KPI’s and tracks success
  • Reviews usages as compared to formula/bill of material
  • Work with Corporate Purchasing and Procurement Schedulers to execute the S&OP plan
  • Create process with Production Schedulers to ensure materials are available to meet the daily production schedule
  • Designs and prepares documentation, training materials, and communications supporting new processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience (1 year of education = 2 years of experience)
  • Advanced knowledge of analytical tools and practices using Microsoft Excel (I.e. advanced formulas, statistical tools, pivot tables, etc.) or similar tool
  • Must be able to draw conclusions and provide key insights from data and research; conclusions drawn and recommendations made are often beyond the scope of the original assignment
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building and customer service skills
  • High level of initiative and drive – ability to prioritize to create focus and to consistently meet and exceed goals
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to perform with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or related field
  • Pursuit of educational/training opportunities, professional organization activity, and awareness of industry periodicals and publications
  • 3 or more years of experience in analyzing and solving complex problems related to logistics and supply chain
  • Data gathering and data manipulation ability with database software and/or SQL query creation/modification
  • Demonstrated use of modern data preparation or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Proven ability to execute continuous improvement principles
