Instructor/Assistant Professor of Theatre Job at Union College
Union College is seeking applicants for a position as Instructor/Assistant Professor of Theatre beginning January 2023.
Founded in 1879, Union is a small, liberal arts college located in southeastern Kentucky. Union has a long history of commitment to Appalachia and provides quality education accessible to a wide range of students, including underrepresented groups such as first-generation students.
We seek a theatre generalist who is student centered and committed to quality undergraduate education. Duties include teaching courses in the Theatre curriculum and one fall and one spring theatre production; course reductions are associated with these productions. The candidate must possess the skills necessary to direct/produce a theatre production and involve students in the process. Experience with children’s and/or community theatre is preferred but not required. The candidate must also be able to assist and work collaboratively with campus and community constituents utilizing the theatre space. The candidate must be willing and able to assist in student recruitment efforts.
Applicants should possess a graduate degree; MFA or PhD in Theatre is desirable.
