Inspector- Job at CHEMRING ENERGETIC DEVICES INC
JOB SUMMARY:
To inspect and approve materials and finished parts for compliance with blueprints and specifications. Looking for 1st and 2nd shift.
Thes 2nd shift pay differential is $3.00/hr. Hours are 4:00pm-12:30am with over time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Follows inspection procedure to ensure complete verification of dimensions and associated data. Uses the necessary fixtures, gages and indicators to check parts for compliance with specifications. Completes assurance checklist during the process.
2. Performs assessment of finish and hardness and detection of cracks or other defects.
3. Experience with GD&T or a company that used very tight tolerancing
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS)
1. Must be eligible to pass a drug screen, background check and prove US citizenship under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices.
2. Extensive blueprint interpretation.
3. Visual inspection ability.
4. Sufficient manual dexterity to handle and manipulate delicate parts and measuring instruments.
5. Extensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
6. Comprehensive knowledge and usage of micrometers, calipers, bore gages, and surface plate setups.
7. Basic to intermediate computer skills.
