PURPOSE

Provide basic technical service to customers, assist the Marketing and Sales efforts within the defined market area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
- Outbound prospecting calls for sales growth
- Outbound courtesy calls for maintaining current long term customer relationships.
- Outbound quote follow up calls in an attempt to close sale
- Qualify customers and provide price quotes for material needs within company goals and objectives
- Qualify customers and establish account pricing for orders
- Accountability for resolving customer credit issues
- Provide technical product knowledge for design professionals and customers
- Interface with Field Sales, Yard Team and local distribution channels
- Manage all inside sales customer service issues and field issues when appropriate. Handle and resolves simple customer complaints and forward more complex issues to more senior staff for resolution.
- Maintain customer communications (annual price letters, new customer welcome, holiday greetings, hours of operation)
- General inquiries (ie. products, sources, pricing, end-use/application assistance),
- Procurement of tax exempt certificates when applicable
- Gather intelligence on all market products and creates a realistic succession pipeline of customers that can be sold if other volumes are lost
- Develop, maintain and strengthen customer relationships
- Prepare data needed in sales budgets, sales reports and market analysis
- Understands how to deliver value to customers (Performance Innovations if applicable) and uses value selling strategies
- Identifies and understands competitive landscape
- Develops plans to maximize potential of accounts: uses good account management practices
- Effective call planning system
- Tracking and management of major sales opportunities as they progress through the selling process
- Tracking and reporting wins and losses as well as market share analysis.
- Respond to new leads generated by nationwide marketing initiatives and support systems.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER JOBS
The Deco ISR will work closely with Territory Sales Representatives (both Deco and aggregate), After Sales Support, and Credit & Collections personnel.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Required Education: Associates/Technical Degree
Additional Education Preferred: Bachelor's/Undergraduate Degree
Field of Study Preferred: Business, Marketing, Landscape Design
Required Work Experience: 3-5 years experience in Landscape/Masonry/Aggregate product and construction knowledge is desired. Knowledge of CRM, and SAP is preferred.
