IDEAS Assistant Job at UCLA
Under the general supervision and direction of the CAO, the Program Assistant provides administrative support to IDEAS and to the CAO and Facilities & Technology Manager at a satellite location in Culver City, CA. Duties include processing financial transactions; processing applications to the post professional graduate program and maintain applicant files with other admissions duties; administrative support, including course instruction and textbooks, coordination of field trips for the different studios and special events and functions; and assisting the Facilities & Technology Manager with safety program and facilities management.

Demonstrated writing skills to complete concise, effective and grammatically correct business correspondence and reports.

Demonstrated knowledge of database systems including ability to perform basic queries and maintain statistical data and student/program information.

Mathematical skills sufficient to calculate ratios and rates to determine current year costs, and to prepare reports and summaries using Excel spreadsheets.

Demonstrated working knowledge of general fund accounting and business practices. Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles.

Knowledge of or ability to learn University online purchasing, travel reimbursement, and financial reporting systems.
