ICT Test Engineering

Job Purpose:

The Test Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and development of new and existing In-Circuit Test (ICT) programs for the Agilent/Keysight i3070 ICT Systems. Work closely with test technicians and operators to provide support and training for testing and troubleshooting of highly complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA). Support customer’s processes from prototype through volume production, including ECO and Deviations documentation review on Agile and implementation of changes on ICT Test Fixture and program as required.

This individual will work closely with customers and test development partners to design and build appropriate test equipment. This position reports to the Test Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Develops ICT PCBA test fixtures and programs with the use of external development partners.
• Work with design engineering and development partners to provide DFT feedback and generate a clear set of prioritized requirements, ensure their implementation and verify all requisite guidelines are observed.
• Manage all aspects of test development services including requirements, definition of deliverables, documentation, technical support, initial quotation, schedule delivery, verification and deployment.
• Provide focal point to manufacturing engineering to improve production yield, improve test reliability, resolve test equipment and test engineering issues or problems as they occur.
• Provide direct support for the introduction of new test fixtures and programs including DFT analysis and conformance to all DFT requirements from internal specifications and customer documentation.
• An additional responsibility would be to provide training for all test personnel (operating through support engineering).
• Assisting Test Engineering in documenting and resolving trended failures to Root Cause evaluation to implement/request corrective action.
• Working with Keysight to keep the ICT testers up to date with the latest revision of test software and communicate any tester issues with Keysight service.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in EE or equivalent experience required

5+ years hands on development experience with Agilent/Keysight i3070 ICT Systems and test Fixtures.

Experience on performing ICT system level diagnostics and coordinate system repairs internally and if required with Keysight service engineering.

Experience in program development and debugging a variety of complex In-Circuit Test failures such as:

Dynamic Power Management [DPM’s]

Intelligent Power Modules [IR’s]

Knowledge of advanced programming for ISP, CPLDs, Flash and Serial EPROMs

Understanding of IEEE 1149.1, IEEE 1149.6 Scan Chains

Cluster tested devices (Silicon Nails) using JTAG scan chains.

Ability to process CAD files using eMTestExpert (Fabmaster)

Good project management, communication, and teamwork skills

Ability to operate in dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
