We currently are looking to add a Human Resources Supervisor to our team at our Northeast Philadelphia, PA facility. The Company is comprised of a Corporate office (Philadelphia, PA), two (2) manufacturing facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Oshkosh, WI) and two (2) repair and service facilities (Philadelphia, PA and Yuba City, CA) located in the United States. In addition, Kingsbury has one (1) manufacturing facility located in Göttingen Germany.

Job Purpose:
Responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function.
As the Human Resources Supervisor, the team member will:
- Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures the organization's compliance. Ensures government reporting regulations and requirements are met by dictated timelines.
- Reviews and makes recommendations to CFO for improvement or changes to the organization’s policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters to ensure consistency and proper compliance are followed.
- Works directly with the HR team and CFO to administer and maintain strategic HR goals.
- Maintains HR metrics including the Demographics Report and HR Dashboard.
- Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization's personnel information and reporting needs and tracks personnel transactions.
- Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters and employee relations.
- Coordinates and/or delivers training in various personnel areas.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and practices.
- Supports in developing succession planning with senior leadership.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
- Preparation and administration of the organization/division wage and salary program to ensure compliance and equity.
- Participates in annual benefit evaluation and selection with executive team and insurance broker. Installs approved, new, or modified plans and employee benefits policies and supervises the administration of existing plans.
- Assure company compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act and the Affordable Care Act.
- Oversee preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, and other regulatory agencies. Oversees annual benefit audit conducted by the accounting firm.
- Provides support and guidance to team members responsible for the organization's recruitment efforts (for example, job postings/social media), onboarding process (for example, new hire orientation), termination process (for example, exit interviews), and benefit administration. Ensures compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Represents management in union negotiations.
- Manages the apprenticeship program divisionally, while working closely with Manufacturing to ensure a successful program.
- Leads and/or participates in internal committees such as the Employee Activities Committee, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), etc.
- Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CFO, on personnel matters.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel will be required to all US locations. Travel may be required to the Germany facility as needed.
Abilities and Other Skills:
Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
There are supervisory responsibilities for this job. There are no subordinate supervisors reporting to this job. This job supervises the HR Department. Three employees report to this supervisor.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business, or Psychology plus four to seven years of related experience or training required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Human Resource Certification Institute - PHR and/or Society of Human Resources
Management - SHRM-CP preferred.
