Position Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Human Resources department by providing administrative support to the team in all functional areas. Duties include assisting with filing, scheduling, onboarding tasks, file maintenance, billing and invoice processing, supporting major projects and initiatives, and supporting communications for the Human Resource department. The Human Resources Assistant must work in close and successful collaboration with other members of the Human Resources and administrative staff and management throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
Review email accounts and route (former employees and group mailboxes)
Assist with preparation, distribution and follow-up to all forms of individual and mass correspondence and communication
Effectively respond to staff and managers at all organizational levels
Assist in the collection, review, coding and submission of invoices
Responsible for the inventory, maintenance, update and creation of all employee files electronic or hard copy stored on and off-site
Review and triage mail, faxes and electronic documents, including email accounts and route appropriately for follow-up
Assist in the maintenance and distribution of departmental records including spreadsheets, presentations, reports and correspondence
Support overall Human Resources initiatives and objectives in a timely and effective manner
Perform other administrative and project support assignments as required
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of college-level education and two years of relevant experience or a successful combinations of education and experience
Effective customer service and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with tact and professionalism
Demonstrated ability to remain organized and produce work with high degree of attention to detail
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite or related software
Demonstrated ability to support and collaborate with a multifunctional team
Familiarity with systems and processes in use by BCS such as HRIS, payroll, electronic finance and filing systems such as Iron Mountain DigiScribe/Filebound, Ceridian/DayForce, Bill.com a plus
