Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application)
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Public Safety.
This position will be responsible for coordinating representation from each division with the internship ambassadors and interns. Develop a database of all accredited colleges and universities in NC and contact information for campus career professionals from across NC. Execute the assigned communications plan to keep participants and other stakeholders informed of the status of initiatives. Locate and compile a list of accommodations for out-of-town students. Contact university professors to inform them of the program and secure program referrals. Create an online exit survey. Collaborate with others to create an internship enrichment experience. Create an affinity contact list/database. And other assigned duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Basic to working knowledge of State HR systems and processes.
- Basic knowledge of federal and state laws, and State policies, procedures, and practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to handle confidential matters with tact and discretion; to express ideas clearly and concisely; to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making decisions within area of responsibility; able to learn and apply rules, procedures, and practices for various human resources management activities or personnel actions.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 1 year of experience required; or 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
