HR Generalist (Bilingual English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Processes employment applications and assists in other employment activities.
  • Fulfilling employment requests from managers.
  • Conducting new hire training and orientation. Completing of new hire paperwork and personnel files.
  • Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information to payroll and other uses.
  • Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons.
  • Employee relations.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation.
  • Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave and leave of absences.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures are in compliance.
  • Computes hours worked, time off, wages and processes data for payroll.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Required
  • Must have 2-4 years of experience in the related role Required
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish), Strongly Preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple complex demands simultaneously covering a broad spectrum of HR activities
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, and ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to function well independently
