Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for a variety of HR tasks such as benefits administration, unemployment claims, workers compensation administration, COBRA, wage and employment verification requests, and employee file maintenance.
- Administers various Human Resources tasks and procedures including developing and implementing policies, handbook maintenance, job description development and maintenance, onboarding/offboarding, and leave administration.
- Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing ensuring all payroll transactions are processed timely and accurately.
- Keeping up to do date with the latest HR trends, best practices, and labor and employment law.
- Ensure complete confidentiality and security of all employee information.
- Provides exemplary customer service to team members by answering HR-related and payroll questions.
- 2 years + of experience in payroll AND/OR 2 years + HR experience
- Proficient with payroll software, ideally Paychex, Paylocity, or other HRIS systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proactive in nature and thrive in an ever-changing, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong verbal, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Exude professionalism
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Confidentiality and discretion in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
