Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 3 to 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PHR or SPHR preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HR Representative in various functional areas of Human Resources to include: recruitment, compensation, benefits and policy administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point is required.
• Experience in the healthcare field is preferred.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, managing employee relations/performance issues, participates in the management of health and welfare, and retirement plans.
• Provides guidance and counsel to leaders and employees around employment issues.
• Facilitates and monitors Family Medical Leave, Leaves of Absence, requests for accommodation, workplace injuries, Short Term Disability and Worker’s Compensation claims.
• Supports leadership is department re-organizations, new job descriptions, and performance management.
• Active participant in benefits plan design, Open Enrollment activities, wellness initiatives, and employee engagement.
• Assists in investigation and resolution of employee grievances and coordinates processes of responding to complaints.
