WHAT YOU'LL DO

In the Housing Coordinator role, you'll work closely with our volunteer team and case managers.. You'll support them by coordinating the logistics of housing set-ups including ordering furniture and supplies and arranging delivery, arranging utility hook ups. This also includes moving furniture into homes and ensuring all required items are provided for setup. Additionally, you'll:

  • Assist with housing inspections, housing setups, utility setups, housing search and other daily tasks
  • Organize and monitor client files and have regular communication with resettlement case workers in regard to housing for their clients
  • Communicate with landlords in regard to scheduling, repairs, and housing services
  • Participate in weekly housing and resettlement team meetings and trainings as needed
  • Stay up to date with incoming arrivals and other resettlement activities through the use of Microsoft Teams.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Team accounts and strong computer skills.
  • The ability to lift 35 - 50 lbs. to move furniture and housing materials for set-up
  • A valid driver's license, liability insurance in the amount of 100/300K and the ability to drive vehicles such as box truck, moving van or personal vehicle for transporting housing materials
  • Understanding and adherence to proper uniform for assigned daily tasks
  • Knowledge of language supports a plus

The mid-pay range for this position is $22.50 per hour with flexibility for experience and language skills. This position offers great benefits including 4+ weeks accrued Paid Time Off (PTO), plus 13 paid holidays, excellent health insurance options (IHA), 401k and much more. We also have a reduced 35 hour work week with an early close on Fridays!

We are located on 6th Street in Niagara Falls. Since this position requires work in the community, you must have a reliable vehicle, clean NYS driver's license and required liability insurance levels of $100/$300k. Additionally, if selected for this position, you must be able to produce evidence of having received the Covid 19 vaccine.
