The Host / Hostess overarching responsibility is providing outstanding service for our guests as they arrive and depart the dining room. This is the top priority over all others.

Specific Job Responsibilities*

Receive and greet guests with a smile.

• Seat guests and inform them of who their server will be.
• Answer the phone and take reservations politely and professionally.
• Suggest the daily specials to the diners as they arrive, and you seat them.
• Be knowledgeable of table numbers, section numbers, and proper table rotation.
• Inspect dining room prior to opening to ensure cleanliness, proper setup, and presentation.
• Organize the Host/Hostess station.
• Fill out the daily specials board.
• Make sure menus and wine lists are clean and presentable.
• Manage the guest reservation book and system.
• Assist servers that are busy or overloaded.
• Assist with table cleaning and resetting as needed.
• Check the restrooms for cleanliness and supplies every 15 minutes.

• The endurance and commitment to work the long hours and weekend work that the club business requires

• Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
