GSG Protective Services is looking to hire a GSOC Analyst. This is a hourly position located in the 24/7 Global Security Operations Center of a major international entertainment company. The GSOC analyst is responsible for monitoring global threats and social media feeds on their shift. The analyst serves as the lead point of contact for emergency and incident response for all travelers, productions, and subsidiaries. Analysts must intake and escalate issues to leadership in a timely manner. Teamwork and coordination with the 24/7 team of dispatch operators are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor internal systems and news alerts for global security threats.
  • Monitor and manage social media feeds for known and emerging threats, suspicious persons, and other security information.
  • Track all international company interests – including travelers, permanent offices, temporary long-term, and short-term productions, and major events (award shows, premieres, etc.).
  • Account for travelers, productions, and offices during crisis events.
  • Facilitate employees or productions during unexpected emergency or security incidents (i.e. lost passport, broken arm, severe weather).
  • Provide appropriate response, escalation, and follow-up to all incidents.
  • Send proactive written notifications of security incidents or other emergencies to productions, employees, security management, and stakeholders.
  • Provide short-suspense analysis on incidents and threats: situational overviews via email or phone.
  • Provide basic analysis for international location and venue assessments.
  • Participate in monthly training.
  • Ensure hardware and software in the GSOC is functioning properly and address issues or failures.
  • Initiate service requests and escalate issues requiring immediate attention to the appropriate personnel, i.e. Facilities, IT, or Safety.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred 4-year degree with an emphasis in international studies or security.
  • Interest in global events and world news.
  • Excellent written skills; confidence in writing emails, incident overviews, and in-depth assessments.
  • Attention to detail is necessary.
  • Personable and outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency.
  • Clear and strong verbal communication skills for ad-hoc phone calls and requests.
  • Comfortable working in a high-tech work environment.
  • Possess strong personal computing skills with Microsoft Office.
  • Robust understanding of internet search engines, mapping tools, and social media for research purposes.
  • Firm grasp law enforcement jurisdiction for domestic and international entities.
  • Flexibility with the learning of new operating procedures, tools, and innovations.
  • Experience with online research and analysis.
  • Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment.
