Your Mission:
As the Graphic Designer Manager, you will work closely with the Director, Design & Branding in support of the Medidata brand and Life Science Engagement (LSE) portfolio of brands. In this role, you will work closely with the Brand, Campaigns, Digital, and Field & Events Marketing teams, as well as other teams across the organization to develop creative design solutions and execute them through a variety of channels.
Create engaging designs for a wide range of assets including but not limited to: print ads, web banners, logos, icons, infographics, presentations, packaging, promotional materials, eBooks, marketing collateral, brochures, and event booths
Create compelling presentations in both PowerPoint and Google Slides and work with stakeholders to ensure key message are presented effectively
Work with members of the marketing team and other internal stakeholders during planning phases to understand design requirements and strategic vision
Partner with external agency and freelance partners, providing creative direction when needed and ensuring alignment with brand guidelines
Your Competencies:
At least 5-7 years experience in corporate branding, layout, color theory, and typography in both print and digital media
Fluency in latest graphic design techniques and software, primarily Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat), Microsoft PowerPoint, and Google Slides
Self-starter with creative and strategic mindset, bringing design ideas to life with hands-off instruction while thinking through the project critically
Flexibility to explore and learn new design tools and platforms
Ability to translate complex information and data into visual graphics
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks of varying complexities, meet demanding deadlines, and work well under pressure while maintaining standards of quality, design requirements, and branding guidelines
Strong creative style and innovative design solutions
Excellent organization and communication skills
Highly flexible and collaborative when working extensively with other teams, such as internal departments, vendors, printers, etc., to deliver the final product
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of print production best practices and file setup
Your Education & Experience:
At least 6-7 years in graphic design, working in a creative agency or corporate environment
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position is $80,000 to $93,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
