Summary of Work


This position will research available grants and is responsible for developing and writing grant proposals for the DOCR. This position will oversee the process for writing a grant proposal that outlines how the agency would use the money and ensure grant funds, when awarded, are appropriately used, and ensure timeframes are met for grant requirements and assistance with grant reporting.

In addition, this position is responsible for receiving, reviewing and approving Crime Victim Compensation Program claim requests and reviewing and authorizing reimbursement of VOCA sub-recipient reimbursements according to contractual agreements and grant requirements. This position will assist in contract drafting and procurement processes for the DOCR and assist with other business office duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications


Requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or in another field related to the summary of work.

Successful candidate must possess excellent report writing and communication skills, to include interpersonal relation skills. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and have excellent prioritization, time management, and organization skills. Proven ability to build relationships with co-workers and outside agencies. Flexibility to travel (attend various national and state-level meetings and travel to sub-recipient sites, may include overnight stays). Must have a valid class D driver's license and have the ability to travel from one location to another within the state on his or her own. Requires successful completion of the interview process, along with standard background checks.

Preference will be given to individuals with work experience or a background in grant management, claim management or finance and accounting.
