The successful candidate will serve as a Toxicology Risk Assessment subject matter expert within ADM, implementing strategies and supporting tactics for tox risk assessment. Write ADM global tox standards and criteria. Build standard process and tools for tox risk assessment for food safety plans. Lead scientific risk assessment to enable the risk managers make data-driven and scientific sound business decisions. Understand how to perform applicable research and experiments to determine food safety programs and how to sustain it.

Job Responsibilities:
- Be an expert on tox risk assessment including ingredient and chemical contaminants on all different categories of products.
- Define a standard process for tox risk assessment on a global level
- Establish tox risk assessment database for all existing chemical contaminants
- Coordinate and develop a fact sheet for emerging ingredient and chemical contaminants.
- Build the baseline risk assessment tool and guidelines for local and regional QFS managers to perform onsite risk assessment
- Support risk managers (Business unit QFS managers) by doing ad hoc risk assessment for trouble shooting, root cause analysis of incidents, new product development, and hygiene monitoring in operations and sanitations.
- Lead scientific risk assessment to enable the risk managers make data-driven and scientific sound business decisions.
- Explore new methods and techniques related to tox risk assessment
- Build strong relationship with external partners on tox risk assessment.
- Conduct review of literature to identify hazards and risks products and make recommendations for application of new technologies to improve current processes
- Develop new tools and advancement for risk assessment
Job Requirements:
These skills and experiences will be required for the candidate:
- Established subject matter expert in food toxicology risk assessment.
- Ph.D with food related industry experience
- Project management, demonstrating delivery of value to the business through execution of projects
- Process contaminant assessment experience is a plus
- Understand risks and hazards associated with food/feed products and applicable critical control points/ preventive control points
- Experience working with both human food and animal feed matrix is a plus
- Experience in writing global Food Safety standards is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with both technical and non-technical personnel
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse, multidisciplinary teams
