Title: Gift Shop Assistant
Shift & Status: Part-time,Flexible shift: may include evenings/weekends
Responsibilities:
- The Gift Shop Sales Assistant will work under the direction of the Gift Shop Manager and Gift Shop Supervisor to provide excellent customer service in the Prosper Gift Shop.
- This job requires outstanding people and organizational skills.
- Must be able to adapt quickly and effectively problem-solve in a fast-paced, hospital retail environment.
- Our emphasis is on service before sales – the Gift Shop Sales Assistant must have a desire to serve our customer base of patient families and visitors, staff, and volunteers with enthusiasm and compassion.
- This individual must be able to work independently and as a strong team player to support the daily store operations.
- Proven cash management skills, strong telephone etiquette and effective communication, and experience operating point of sale or computerized cash register systems is required.
- Flexibility in scheduling within the store operating hours, which may include evenings and/or weekends, is required.

Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma required; some college is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year working in a non-profit, customer service role or retail environment is required.
- Spanish Speaking preferred.
