How You Will Help Every Life Shine:
The General Manager Culinary Services directs department providing food and beverage services to residents in all levels of care, staff, and external customers by achieving resident satisfaction goals, operating within budget, managing team members, ensuring safe operations, supporting special events and community service projects.
- Achieves departmental goals set for resident satisfaction by consulting residents, chef(s), and Salemtowne management, reviewing results of resident satisfaction surveys, conducting ongoing informal inquiry regarding resident menu desires and service expectations, and using information obtained to plan and present appealing meals with restaurant-quality service.
- Implements innovative approaches to food preparation, presentation, and service delivery by keeping up to date with industry standard, researching best practices, and leading effective change.
- Ensures safe department operations by complying with all OSHA, DHHS, health, and sanitation regulations and requirements including providing new Team Member orientation and required in-service training.
What You Will Need:
- Must be a college graduate with a degree in a related field, or certifications and experience.
- Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in management of a food service operation, preferably in CCRC or LTC.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Adept at building relationships and liaising with multiple stakeholders and thrive in matrix environments.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to be hands-on.
