Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking First-Line Manufacturing Managers (Ramp Traveler) (Level K) to support the 737 Team in Renton, Washington.
Successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to embrace One BPS culture, tools and key performance indicators. Candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to inspire others during moments of change. This includes delivering good news and leading difficult conversations. A great candidate is able to envision a complex organizational structure and learn to navigate it and leverage connections.
Within Manufacturing we embrace a first-pass quality approach and require our leaders to be committed to our team members' success. FOD-free product and Clean as You Go are also mandatory components of our production system, which require steadfast commitment to our standards, our people and our customers. Candidate will be assigned as DAKU Manufacturing Manager in Final Assembly responsible for tactical execution of Compliance strategy. Candidate may if/when business needs require it directly support production/manufacturing.
Position Responsibilities
Coaches, manages, mentors and inspires employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
Develops and executes business plans, policies, procedures, and process improvements while using Lean principles.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Reports production health status to various levels of leadership with professionalism.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Renton, WA.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Ability to work any shift assigned, including overtime and weekends.
1+ years of experience improving processes using continuous improvement techniques.
1+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership position.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Demonstrated adaptability when faced with new challenges.
Ability to motivate, inspire, and forge connections when under pressure.
Passion for celebrating successes and ability to identify "small wins" for the team.
Experience with Boeing Compliance metrics and navigating documentation such as BPIs and BPGs.
Relocation

Summary pay range: $103,700-$140,300
