Sheppard Mullin, an AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a mid-to-senior level associate to join the Leverage Finance team in
Washington, DC.

As part of a large, broad-based commercial law firm, our commercial lending and financial transactions team is comprised of attorneys specializing in all facets of highly-structured financial transactions. We bring a team of fully-engaged advisors with the legal and practical problem solving skills necessary to execute the most complex of financial transactions.
As Sheppard Mullin’s Leveraged Finance team continues to grow, we are searching for an associate with 4+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:
Excellent project management skills and experience working on leveraged finance transactions (particularly those involving private equity sponsors and mergers and acquisitions)- Exposure to the negotiation and documentation of commitment letters, credit agreements and related collateral documents and legal opinions
- While the team primarily focuses on representing business borrowers, candidates with lender side experience are encouraged to apply as well
- Experience leading transactions is not required for this role, as the Finance team invests in its members through training to help them grow as lawyers
- We will currently consider candidates residing in either the Washington D.C. or New York areas
