We are searching for experienced Service technicians who will perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintenance procedures, warranty work and repairs. This position will also provide technical training to users/customers on processes and equipment and will also assist other departments in the development of new products and the improvement of existing products from a service perspective.
Common Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Receive calls from Customers regarding Service or Service issues
Build Parts lists for Customers, internal and external
Troubleshoot, by phone or email Customer issues
Travel to Customer sites for Maintenance, Repair, Trouble-Shooting of problems, New Installation/Commissioning and Customer Training
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Positive Attitude, this position is an ambassador to our customers
Your profile and qualifications:
Requirements
A thorough understanding of the equipment supported by the Service Group through Training programs
Fluent in English
Ability to trouble shoot mechanical and electrical issues, provide recommendation of repair and timeline.
Excellent working knowledge of mechanical /electrical machinery
Good understanding of vibration analysis cause and effect
Has the ability to perform RCA communicate finding to customer and discuss with GEA management in providing solutions
Extensive Travel, up to 90%
Long workdays, up to 16 hours at times
Occasional Weekend work
Understanding of Hand Tools and mechanical techniques
Understanding or Power Tools
Computer Literate CRM Word Excel
Some technical writing skills, writing Service Reports is central to the position
Ability to read Schematics, Diagrams and Technical manuals
Must be able to function well, in an unsupervised position (Self-starter)
Must have a valid driver license
Must be able to discuss technically complex issues with non-technical persons
Good organizational skills, particularly on site, are critical
