Main Responsibilities / Activities
- Proficient to perform field service for state of the art packaging automation equipment with electrical and mechanical machine knowledge
- Start-up, repair and upgrading of machines in customer plants. Perform contracted or periodic maintenance of machines.
- Training of customer personnel to properly operate and maintain machines
- Attainment of a working knowledge of all assigned equipment in the field
- Keep in contact with customers to maintain their confidence with the equipment
and service - Assists customer and Sales Department in ordering replacement parts and sees
that they are ordered properly - Creates and submits service reports, expense reports, daily time sheets, etc.
- Reports customer accidents and any unsafe conditions to customer and internal
management - Service machines in customer plants and provides service information by
telephone - Performs other duties as assigned by Service Manager or as circumstances
require

service support, factory repairs, and end-user training. - Excellent communication skills and professional approach always portraying a
positive company image to customers. - Customer focus with an ability and resourceful determination to solve customer problems as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- Willingness and ability to accept instruction and training to achieve success in the
field.
Basic Requirements
- 2 year college level technical training in mechanical and electrical technology or
equivalent preferred - A minimum of two years relevant experience preferred
- PLC experience is a plus but not required
- Technical “hands-on” experience and skills for packaging equipment.
- Makes arrangements for travel requirements. Extensive travel required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office and ability to learn other proprietary programs
- Performs international service duties as assigned
- Travel throughout the US of up to 80% per year
