Mill Operator

Belstra Milling Company is a world-class feed manufacturing facility. Belstra is in search of a Mill Operator. The operator must work in compliance with all the company policies, local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Manufacture feed in accordance with quality assurance policies, standard operating procedures, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Collect feed samples and perform quality assurance tests
• Set up hand add medications, and properly record medication usage
• Load and unload trailers as needed
• Operate forklift, semi-truck in yard (willing to train and does not require CDL), or other machinery used in the warehouse
• Complete appropriate paperwork and reports accurately and timely
• Inspect incoming material to verify the condition and quality of the product received matches what is stated on the receiving documents
• Perform inspections on equipment such as forklift and spot truck
• Rotate stock according to FIFO
• Execute preventative maintenance on equipment and routine housekeeping
• Dump totes and bags in the mixer, depackaging or receiving
• Execute preventative maintenance on equipment and routine housekeeping

Skills and Requirements (included but not limited to):

• Mathematical, Reading, and Writing competency
• Basic computer skills
• Strong critical thinking and multi-tasking abilities
• Operation/Control monitoring
• Instructing/Communicating and active listening

Physical Demands:

• Ability to regularly lift 60-pounds
• Climb ladders and stairs and work at heights with good body balance
• Work near moving mechanical parts
• Ability to work in dusty, cold, hot, humid environment
• Withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• This positon requires the ability to walk, kneel, bend, climb, etc.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Previous warehouse or feed manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
