Farmers Market Booth Assistant Job at The Empanada Girl

We are looking to add a team member to our booths at the Wednesday Philippi Creek Farmer's Market, the Saturday Downtown Sarasota Farmer's Market, and the Sunday Waterside Market at Lakewood Ranch. The Wednesday position is for the duration of the market - October through April. The Saturday and Sunday markets are year round.
The hours for this job are approximately:
- 530am to 3pm on Wednesdays
- 530am to 2pm on Saturdays
- 730am to 3pm on Sundays
Must be able to
- Follow and take directions
- Be able to work cooperatively alongside team members
- Multi-task
- Have time management skills
- Lift 25+lbs (coolers, drink flats, equipment, tents, tables, etc)
- Be comfortable standing for the duration of the shift
- Have a positive attitude
- Respect fellow team members, the equipment, the customers, and the job
- Respect and honor the food we work with
- Function well in a fast paced environment
- Have reliable transportation
Part of the job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Running a register
- Enjoy talking to customers
- Have an understanding of customer service
- Taking orders from the customers and answering their questions
- Remembering over time menu items and their ingredients
- Handling fresh food
- Preparing orders
- Using hot equipment such as ovens + warmers
- Setting up and breaking down farmer's market booth and displays
- Loading and unloading the van and trailer in the beginning and end of the day
- Possibly loading and unloading at the factory before and after the markets
- Flexibility to do all of the above plus whatever else is required within the scope of the business

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Weekly day range:
- Every weekend
