Description: The Farm Hand/Equipment Operator is a person whose work provides necessary support to the primary activities of the row-crop farm or operations within the business as needed. This position lends aid and support in areas most important to center pivot irrigation and machine operations. The employee is also responsible for helping transport and deliver various farm products such as diesel, seed, chemical, fertilizer and equipment. The employee will be expected to assist in all areas of the business which include, but aren’t limited to: equipment/property maintenance and repair, equipment/property cleaning, construction, irrigation, field work, harvest, planting, spraying, livestock, etc. Conduct or assist with necessary construction projects such as wood or metal fabrication, livestock fencing, painting, home repair, electrical, dirt work, etc.

Requirements: A basic understanding of center pivot and drip irrigation to effectively repair broken equipment

• Willing and able to obtain an EPA approved Worker Protection Standard (WPS) card.

• Must live in Cotton Center, Texas where children will be encouraged to attend Cotton Center ISD
• Bank account for direct deposit pay.
• Ability to operate a smart phone or tablet Ability to text message or email
• Effective communication skills that respectfully bridge goals of management and operations.
• Understand the urgency of the seasonal demands of farm work and effectively manage the stresses of timeliness.
• Consent to a drug/alcohol and background screening
• A CDL or Drivers License Class A - combination vehicle with GVWR greater than or equal to 26,001 lbs.

Compensation: Competitive wage negotiable based on experience, skill and attitude. Ability to operate any type of farm machinery or technology is desired and any specific skill beyond requirements will be considered for increase in pay along with experience. Housing, utilities and vehicle are available for the right candidate
