Abigail Kirsch is hiring a Facilities Supervisor at the Tappen Hill Mansion in Tarrytown, NY
Job Summary: Supervising the House personal and the overall functions of the Facilities Department. Assist the Facilities Manager in any activity for the front of the house assigned. Supervise the maintenance of Banquet rooms and Equipments (dance floors, screens, carpets, chairs and audio visual), Public Restrooms, Grounds, Driveways. S/he must work closely with the Facility Manager in promoting the Company’s culture, mission and philosophy.
Compensation:
$20-$22 an hour
Qualifications:
- At least two years experience in a Hotel or country Club or Conference Center establishment.
- Ability to maintain a neat, organized and safe working environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with associates, management, clients and vendors if necessary.
- Able to work flexible schedule in order to accommodate business levels.
- Ability to multi-task and delegate assignment’s.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work in close spaces in order to maintain fixtures/areas.
- Ability to work outdoors and indoor year around.
- Valid driver license a plus.
- Working basic knowledge of computer systems/program, including Microsoft office and email.
- Working knowledge of Spanish is preferred.
Essential Job Functions (House Staff):
1. Develop, train and mentor staff and act as a resource to them.
2. Check in with the Facilities Manager when coming on duty for specific objectives for the day.
3. Supervise settings and turnover for banquet rooms as per schedule.
4. Supervise vacuuming of all offices, banquet rooms and banquet facilities as per function sheet.
5. Supervise maintenance and upkeep of Guests, Public and Bridal Restrooms.
6. Supervise the maintenance for all interior projects.
7. Supervise the sweeping or blower for roadsides, walkways, gutters and make sure flowers beds are clean and free of debris daily.
8. Keep restrooms replenished and clean at all times.
9. Supervise the maintenance of linen and chemical room in an organized manner.
10. Assist House Staff when necessary.
11. Perform and supervise weekly and monthly projects as required.
12. Follow proper time keeping policies and procedures
13. Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
14. Travel, as necessary, to different properties/venues.
15. Supervise and follow proper use of the daily and monthly check list as well as all SOP’s.
16. Follow the sign in and out procedure for keys and radios.
17. Opening and closing of building when necessary (front of the house).
18. Perform necessary minor repairs when needed.
