The Facilities and Base Area Supervisor will be an essential member of Woodward Park City's team, reporting to the Woodward Park City Maintenance Manager. The successful applicant will be leading a team responsible for delivering high-quality facilities and services to our members and guests. The Base Area Supervisor will be responsible for building manenance, upkeep of all indoor and outdoor action sports zones, grounds maintenance including snow removal, landscaping, and parking operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team responsible for building maintenance, maintenance of indoor action sports zones, maintenance of outdoor concrete and asphalt action sports zones, grounds maintenance inclucing snow removal and landscaping and parking operations.
- Facilitate maintenance, repairs, improvements, and projects across a broad spectrum of scope and situation. Work to build, develop, and implement preventative maintance plans for areas of responsibility.
- Responsible for the overall departmental orientation and training for all new employees.
- Consistently deliver high-quality presentation of facilities with attention to detail and guest experience.
- Make safety a top priority for both staff and guests. Develop, follow, and enforce safe practices and procedures to support this.
- Ability to work closely with other Maintenance personnel and all other WWPC departments.
- Responsible for maintaining ongoing training opportunities for current employees
- Consistently deliver high-quality presentation of facilities with attention to detail and guest experience.
- Make safety a top priority for both staff and guests. Assist in developing, adhering to, and enforcing safe practices and procedures to support safe work and play environments.
- Maintain a work place which consistently adheres to all OSHA requirements/compliances
- As needed and directed, work with outside contractors and vendors to support and achieve maintenance goals
- Assist with administrative duties including but not limited to, ordering/purchasing, recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, time keeping, performance management, and documentation.
- Perform functional duties to support operations
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and learn new skills
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience / Special Skills:
- 1 year previous supervisory experience in related fields preferred.
- Prior experience maintaining action sports parks and facilities
- Skills in a multitude of facility maintenance functions such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, carpentry, and grounds
- Proven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, to work as part of a team, and to lead teams in achieving goals.

- Number of employees supervised: 5-8
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, crawl in confined spaces, lift 50lbs.
- Must be comfortable working in an outdoor all season environment.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted.
