Candidate Profile
The Coos Bay School District is accepting applications for an experienced Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor. Our ideal candidate is an innovative and service- minded individual who will direct maintenance, facility activities and operations. We are seeking someone who possesses a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a school maintenance and facility official and/or equivalent experience with similar functions in the private industry, including at least three years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
The recipient of this position must have knowledge of the principles and practices of facility management, including engineering, architecture, and large- and small-scale construction project organization. Responsibilities include development of maintenance schedule/programs, facility planning, communication with regulatory agencies, employee safety, environmental controls compliance reporting, procurement practices and others.
This position also requires demonstrated competence in technology use, public interaction, and group presentations. This person will lead and supervise a team of maintenance, custodial and facility employees as well as lead the district level safety committee and ALICE training.

District Pro?le
Coos Bay School District is located on the south-central Oregon Coast in Coos County. We have approximately 3,100 students in kindergarten through 12th grade. We have two primary schools for kindergarten – 2nd grades, two intermediate schools for 3rd through 6th graders, Marshfield Junior High for 7th and 8th graders and Marshfield High School, serving students grades 9 through 12. The Milner Crest Education Center houses our school district offices and provides one of our alternative schooling options, Resource Link Charter School. The Blossom Gulch campus is the home of Destinations Academy, our 9-12th grade alternative education program, and home to Little Pirates Preschool, a pre-K Preschool Promise Grant program.

Salary Range based on the 2022-2023 salary schedule: $84,795- $97,403
This is a full-time, 260 day contract with 25 vacation days allowance, insurance package, and PERS pick up.
