Overall Description
Provide customer service and support for the sales/order department for Croda North America. Primarily responsible for the order placement and fulfilment processes of our Export business, in support of our Global network of affiliated manufacturing facilities, Sales Offices, and indent Customers. Perform all duties within the Company’s SHE regulations. All other duties assigned by management.
Key Duties:
Order Management (35%)
  • Process customer orders
  • Effectively and promptly communicate production scheduling with production, logistics, and quality teams as necessary, to meet customer requirements
  • Communicate delivery schedules with customers and promptly notify of changes
  • Monitor and communicate order shipment progress
Customer Service Support (35%)
  • Handle customer inquiries & special requests
  • Assist with providing pricing quotes, logistic quotes, expedite sample requests, production information, spec sheets, SDS’s, C of A’s & proof of deliveries
  • Work closely with traffic to arrange container shipments
  • Enter & maintain customer complaint tasks
Administrative Duties (30%)
  • Communicate customer forecasts to sales and production
  • Escalate issues to management
  • Provide appropriate information to Data Admin. for new account setups
  • Properly maintain OTIF information as required
Experience required
  • 2-3 years of export customer service experience and chemical background preferred
Education / specialized training required
  • High School Graduate required. Associate Degree preferred
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills as well as organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel. SAP preferred
  • Must have oral and written proficiency in the English language
  • Must be able to demonstrate an ability to work well within a team
Physical requirements
  • Able to stand, walk and sit for a minimum of 8 hours per day
