Kraemer is looking for Equipment Operators to join our Mountain West team in Spring 2023; project assignments range from Colorado Springs, Denver, Idaho Springs, to Fort Collins. This is a Union position; you must be in the Union or willing to join (Kraemer will assist as needed). This role is responsible for operating heavy equipment, cranes, jacks, pumps and other mechanized tools; In addition, performing a variety of tasks from operating, maintenance, cleaning, oiling, training, monitoring, inspecting and driving.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with Kraemer Safety and Quality Programs by working safely
- Lift, carry, and hold materials, tools, and other supplies as needed
- Maintain and clean equipment
- Operate heavy equipment, trucks, jacks, pumps, boats, cranes and other mechanized tools.
- Perform demolition activities with heavy equipment
- Perform clamming operations or piling with cranes
- Rigging, loading, and unloading material
- Unload and place crane mats
Requirements
- Previous experience as an operator required
- Knowledge of and ability to safely operate equipment
- Walking on uneven ground; Exposure to cold/hot temperatures, and dusty or dirty/greasy surroundings.
- Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Ability to work well with a team and minimal supervision
