LCRA’s Plant Environmental Support team members are valued colleagues, providing guidance on environmental projects, solutions, and permit compliance requirements. You will also provide fleet wide air permit compliance requirements and provide hands-on support with Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems. Additionally, you will have a key role within the Plant Environmental Support team, supporting wastewater and solid waste compliance across the generating fleet.
We are looking for someone who is responsible, flexible, collaborative, takes initiative, has excellent troubleshooting skills, and has excellent attention to detail. Our ideal candidate will have proven experience supporting CEMS and all-around environmental knowledge. Our ideal candidate will be able to support non-standard work hours as necessary to ensure both environmental compliance and generation reliability. You will be trusted to:
- Works effectively within a team as well as on an individual basis with little supervision
- CEMS analyzer maintenance, troubleshooting and repair (Servomex, CAI, Thermo and Teledyne analyzers)
- Instrument & Controls (PLC’s and DATA loggers)
- Regulatory data collection & reporting (CEMS DAHS Software – Teledyne and Cemtek)
- Supports all environmental media (air, wastewater, and solid waste)
You qualify with:
- Six or more years of experience in assessment, interpretation, implementation or administration of environmental regulations, programs or policies, including experience with preparing technical reports and communicating with regulatory agencies.
- A degree(s) in environmental science, chemistry, wildlife biology, geology, ecological management, conservation science, business, engineering, risk management or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Driver's license
