Responsibilities:
- Design/Analysis/Develop/Maintain exceptional Business Intelligence Solutions.
- Interpret and communicate complex data elements and results with Technical and Business users.
- Collaborate to perform data analyses as required with various business units such as Underwriting, Claims, and Marketing.
- Collaborate regularly with IT, Analytics, Actuarial, Finance, and other business units to ensure data is accurate and assists the organization in making data-driven decisions and recommendations.
- Coordinate and execute training & development of Central’s Business Intelligence employees. Activities include but not limited to Office Hours, Training Resources, and One on One Coaching.
- Establishes operational objectives, policies, procedures, and work plans and delegates assignments to the team(s)
- Effectively communicates strategy and priorities, sets expectations, holds team accountable, and gets results.
- Works appropriately across departments and across offices to accomplish corporate objectives and priorities.
- Manages resources appropriately – staffing, workloads, budget.
- Communicate data insights between technical and business personnel
- Four to six years of experience in a similar role in insurance or finance
- Experience with enterprise intelligence platforms (Power BI, SQL, etc)
- Proficient in SQL (MySQL, T-SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, etc.)
- Experience with Azure Platform (not required)
- Strong data visualization development experience, Power BI expertise preferred
- Ability to set priorities and plans to meet business goals and objectives
- Ability to shift & balance strategic, high-level thinking with attention to detail
- Ability to understand, design & implement end-to-end BI workflows
- Strong organizational, planning & problem-solving skills
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in a Quantitative field
