Energy Systems and Cyber Program Manager (Remote) Job at ICF
ICF is seeking an Energy Systems and Cyber Program Manager to support our U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) client in its mission to ensure the Nation’s energy delivery system is secure, resilient, and reliable. This role will provide program management support for the agency’s portfolio of projects to research, develop and deploy tools and techniques to mitigate risks to critical energy infrastructure from cyber threats and all hazards.
The office’s priorities include building the energy sector’s day-to-day operational capabilities to share cyber-incident information, improving organizational and process-level cybersecurity posture, and performing cyber-incident response and recovery. The client is investing in research, development, and demonstration of cross-cutting tools and technologies to help make U.S. energy infrastructure more cyber-resilient and secure. The client works closely with energy sector stakeholders, manufacturers of energy technologies, National Laboratories, universities, other government agencies, and other stakeholders.
This position is a hybrid role with working at the ICF Reston VA office, or remotely, and working at the client site in Washington D.C. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:

Apply specialized energy sector technical and analytic expertise and provide management support for energy cybersecurity initiatives.

Deliver project and program management services including mission and program oversight, tracking programs to assure alignment with goals, and stakeholder outreach and communications.

Assist in executing technical consulting assignments, including drafting or proof-reading briefs, summaries, or reports; and finalizing key products,

Track the progress of projects executed by labs and other partners, including budgets, schedules, and deliverables, proposing adjustments as required. Assist in tracking long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.

Assure the quality of project deliverables and communications.

Work closely with our practice leads and our program manager to lead the continued development of ICF’s service offerings to federal clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technical field.

3 to 6 years of experience in energy systems, cybersecurity, or related field.

Project management experience with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
-
Experience in a consulting environment, particularly for the federal government.

Self-starter with the ability to anticipate the sequence of events in project planning.

Proficient oral and written communication skills.
-
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
