• $59,545.97 - $112,805.76
• CTE Extended time per ETO CBA

Job Description:

CTE Agriculture teacher to teach natural resources/foresty, construction, and sustainable technology/precision agriculture technology to high school students, primarily with one shop and technology lab class to 7th/8th-grade students. Create and cultivate a program where students are engaged and acquire necessary 21st-century essential skills that are connected to industry standards. Work collaboratively with the Agriculture and CTE team to enhance community development, connect with industry partners, engage and compete in CTSO's and more. This position will connect with the trades and the foresty industry to develop a pre-apprenticeship and/or internship program.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Possess or willingness to pursue a Washington State Teaching Certificate
• Possess or willingness to pursue a Washington State CTE Agriculture Certification Initial or Continuing Certification and follow CTE standards and expectations
• WSP/FBI fingerprint background clearance (fee paid by the employee)
• Demonstrates command of interpersonal communication skills with students, parents, and peers (oral and written)
• Familiar with state standards and training in effective use of assessment
• Successful teaching experience/practicum in a secondary and/or industry setting
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents/guardians, and community
• Expectation to support FFA summer events and activities including, but not limited to: GH Co. Fair, Ag Co-op, SAE project visits, FFA CDE development, Officer training, and more.

Preferred Qualifications:

Industry Experience - Have workplace experience within Agriculture & Natural Resources. Technology, and/or Trades experience would be welcomed.

CASE Certifications: Natural Resources & Ecology and others.
