• Adhere to all safety guidelines, rules, and regulations set forth by the company.
• Must follow Plant and Personal Safety Programs and Safe Work Practices. The individual will not take unnecessary risks to complete job assignments. Ensure safe work and operation of the equipment are being performed properly.
• Follow all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Quality and Food Safety guidelines and MMT/SOPs set forth by the company.
• Be an example of safety, quality, and a positive attitude. Conducting self professionally with coworkers and management.
• Must have the good problem-solving ability, organizational skills, physical ability, and able to work under pressure and time constraints. Must be Versatile and Flexible to work conditions and shift to support routine/non-routine and scheduled outages.
• Interface with plant engineers and management on shutdowns and special projects.
• Understand and follow written and verbal instructions and procedures that may be given by management.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of Fifty (50) pounds and push-pull one hundred (100) pounds.
• Must have a working knowledge of hand and specialty tools.
• Must have a working knowledge and be able to follow technical manuals and system drawings.
• Must have a good working knowledge of and be able to repair and troubleshoot facility equipment within the chemical process area and outlying supporting departments including material loading, warehouse, and utility (boiler, compressor & chillers) to insure plant reliability.
• Must have a working knowledge of paint and how to paint different types of materials.
• Must not be afraid of heights.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights
• Maintain plant equipment. This will include the repair of equipment and facility materials.
• Must be skilled in Pipe Fitting and Millwright capabilities.
• Must be able to weld or willing to learn to weld (Stick, TIG, and MIG)
• Must be able to read Blueprints, Technical Manuals P&ID, and IPBs.
• Must not be afraid of Confined Spaces.
• Must be able to work in permitted confined spaces.
• Must be able to support a twenty-four-seven plant operation.
• Responsible for individual safety and support site safety goals and programs.
• Other items that may be assigned by management.
