This position is located in the North Region.
Preferred Qualification:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
- Two or more years of experience in correctional education or correctional training.
- Certification from the GA PSC or in Post IT
- Experience in developing goals and performance measures for programs and classes.
- Skills in analyzing data to identify needs and development improvement plans.
- Demonstration of leadership skills and ability to motivate others in goal accomplishments
- Advanced interpersonal, communications, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Skill in using a variety of computer software applications and expertise in creating lesson plans, presentations, spreadsheets, and reports.
Notes
This position is for Academic Education and is located in the North Region. This position is responsible for:
- Monitoring education program effectiveness through data analysis and site visits.
- Traveling three to five days a week to regional facilities, meetings, graduations, etc.
- Collecting data for required annual, monthly, and weekly reports, including budget, program completions, attendance, enrollment, technology inventory, etc., and ensuring that data is timely and correct.
- Using data to set goals, establish budgets and schedules, hire staff, etc. to meet the individual needs of each facility in the region.
- Providing support for facility instructors through training and individual development plans, as needed, to meet goals for academic achievement.
- Conducting audits and regional inspections of assigned facilities and compiling reports for program improvement.
- Providing oversight of technology needs at assigned facilities and troubleshooting as needed.
- Working within Microsoft Office applications daily for communication, training, and reporting.
- Other academic duties as assigned by Director of Academic Education or Instructional Coaches.
