Position Reports to: Regional Director of Sales

OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Dual Properties Sales Manager.

What will you be doing most days?

Assist in developing and implementation of the Business Plan for each hotels revenue objectives, including development of Market Share Analysis tool (MSA) and Market Segment Planner (MSP)

Meets or exceeds set goals in room revenues, catering revenues, and market share

Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluates trends within the market and ensures that the sales team is held accountable for those accounts within their respective territories/market segment

Coordinates all corporate negotiated sales and catering solicitations to maximize overall profits

Assists in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner

Conducts weekly sales meetings according to OTO Development standards

Is familiar with all OTO Development Sales policies and selling techniques with an emphasis on maximizing RevPAR, Catering and/or Other revenues

Motivate, coaches, counsels and disciplines all Sales and Catering department personnel (as applicable) according to OTO Development Standards

Develops strategies to increase share from competitors when the hotels revenue penetration goals are not being met

Uses sales management system to manage the hotels business, including (but not limited to) generating reports, entering business, blocking space and building accounts

Maintains regular attendance in compliance with OTO Development standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotels


What are the requirements for this position?

  • You have at least 5 years of progressive hotel sales experience or Director of Group Sales, with proven success in leading efforts
  • You have prior leadership over direct sales efforts producing at least 50% market mix of Total Revenues
  • You have at least a high school diploma, with a college degree preferred
  • You have a valid drivers license from the appropriate state
  • You have a drive for Results demonstrated through successful performance in prior sales positions
  • You have an action Orientation to work efficiently and effectively toward property revenue objectives
  • You have excellent time management skills to meet commitments across multiple accounts and contacts
  • You have strong negotiating skills to consistently obtain optimal revenue position for the hotel
  • You have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Physical Requirements for this Position

You must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates.

Travel Requirements

Minimal, occasional travel outside the local area and overnight.
