Midwest Refrigerated Services, a growing warehouse, refrigerated trucking and logistics company We serve customers in the food industry with distribution and transportation services.

General Position Overview: The Director of Logistics Sales will be responsible to sell the entire MRS portfolio which currently includes services in the areas Transportation, and Logistics. This person will and should be selling combined services as well as providing a complete supply chain solution to the MRS customer base and potential new customers. This role will be a combination of a doer and a leader as the role is also responsible to develop, implement and manage a complete sales strategy for the enterprise to include future structure and staffing within sales. This role may require this person to assist with sales in the areas of Warehousing, VAS & E-Commerce.

General Accountabilities include:

  • Overall customer growth and profitability
  • Heading up MRS National Account Relationships
  • Building MRS customer portfolio across all transportation & logistics lines of business for MRS
  • Strategic Sales strategy development and execution (include sales presentations to all customers)
  • Ability to evaluate market trends & correlate that analysis into sales & business strategies
  • Complete customer relationship management with all new & existing customers
  • Administer the complete bid package process to include pricing models for various lines of business
  • Focus on new customer sales (business opportunities, carrier sales, etc.)
  • Associate development and training
  • Staff planning and hiring
  • KPI management
  • Model MRS Values, Vision and keep team aligned with direction of MRS

Prerequisites:

  • College degree or accepted work experience
  • 5 Years of Transportation / Logistics Sales
  • Work history of aggressive growth and Customer Focus
  • History of key performance management


Performance Measurements:


  • Ability to achieve annual sales revenue goals
  • Ability to achieve annual profitability margins
  • Ability to add new business customers each year of growth
