Our company is looking for a Director of Logistics for Warehouse and Facilities, the position is to manage both our warehouse and building infrastructure as well as our facilities. The candidate would be responsible for scheduling preventative maintenance on major systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and electricity lines, and responding to breakdowns quickly. While vendor management is a large part of the job, the individual employed in this position should be comfortable working directly with all other systems listed above. Experience with facilities maintenance, budget management, and safety compliance is crucial. The ideal candidate will be well-organized and will be able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. As the Director of Logistics for Warehouse and Facilities one will need to ensure that products, inventory, parts, or people move from one place to another efficiently and cost-effectively. The Director of Logistics will also implement the storage protocols and processes for the flow of products, materials, information, or services.

This individual must have leadership experience managing staff in both facilities and warehouse.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee third-party contractors
• Hire facilities and warehouse staff as needed
• Schedule repairs and maintenance
• Set and enforce a facilities budget
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Corporate Security system controls
• Accomplishes warehouse operations by recruiting, selecting, training, and coaching team members
• Oversees distribution, warehouse, shipping, cleaning process
• Meets warehouse and facility operations by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, and scheduling expenditures
• Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
• Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
• Inspect buildings? structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
• Allocate office space according to needs
• Handle insurance plans and service contracts
• Maintains financial and non-financial records
• Perform analysis and forecasting

• Vendor Management ? Property Management, cleaning HVAC, Badge system
• Conducts Hospital Facilities management
• Maintains Inventory Controls
• Oversees supply management

Vendor management
The Director of Logistics for Warehouse and Facilities is responsible for establishing strong partnerships with all associated vendors to set clear expectations. This includes:

• Negotiating access agreements
• Establishing service level agreements (SLAs)
• Ensuring contracts are in place to support the services provided by the infrastructure team

Standards & procedures
The Director of Logistics for Warehouse and Facilities will ensure that standards and procedures are in place for the work warehouse and facilities. This includes establishing, writing, and distributing governance and enforcing the governance that?s already in place.

Strategy
The Director of Logistics for Warehouse and Facilities must be more than just an expert at managing multiple things at once. They must be aware of the strategic direction of the organization as well as new technologies on the horizon.

Monitoring & reporting
