PURPOSE
The Director of Facilities and Projects is responsible for oversight and management of all Maintenance Department activities, including management of construction projects, as well as all aspects of the physical plant and purchasing/inventory for the Maintenance Department, and directs all projects property wide. The Director is responsible for setting goals, objectives, and action plans to ensure department productivity and profitability to meet company objectives. The Director ensures compliance with OSHA standards and regulations, as well as state, local, and Federal ordinances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement strategic goals, objectives and business plans for the department.
- Manage all aspects of the physical property, including the Grounds, Maintenance, and Environmental Services (EVS) Departments.
- Must possess exceptional leadership skills with the ability to successfully lead the team, provide support to staff, and delegate appropriately.
- Responsible for overseeing safety, building code compliance and renovation management.
- Prepare the budget for contracted services, operating expenses, repair and maintenance, capital projects as it relates to maintenance issues, payroll, travel and entertainment, uniforms and training.
- Issue service agreements for all contracted services and ensure that all work is completed on schedule and in accordance with the fully executed agreements.
- Manage all third-party contractor and/or vendor relationships.
- Set and maintain “best in class” standard for EVS regarding day-to-day property appearance.
- Prepare bid specifications; solicit competitive bids for maintenance services and projects.
- Review and approve all invoices for Facilities related expenses.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
- Solve problems and interpret a variety of printed instructions, drawings (architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural), specifications, manuals, schematic diagrams and schedules.
- Identify system or structure related problems. Develop a cost-effective solution to identified problems and carry out a well-organized action plan.
- Maintain a general knowledge of all mechanical and electrical systems contained within the facility.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement action plans to conserve energy.
- Exercise considerable judgment in determining priorities, managing projects and assignments, delegating work, and overall accomplishment of goals and tasks.
- Develop and implement strategic goals, objectives and business plans for the department.
- Delegate assignments to subordinates as appropriate and hold them accountable for performance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry and competition.
- Ensure effective communication among and between all department staff.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s recycling programs and other industry related regulations.
- Develop facility management policies and procedures as they relate to facility management.
- Purchase all supplies and responsible for inventory/property identification of all real and personal/business property.
- Will direct and oversee all projects on property.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Ten (10) years facilities and operational management experience at comparable size and infrastructure of property required, to include knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, carpet installation, kitchen, environmental services and grounds maintenance.
- Knowledge of emergency shut-off procedures for gas, water, electric, etc.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software.
- Must be proficient in reading blueprints, specifications and technical information.
- Must understand the SDS (Safety Data Sheets) and be able to give safety instructions to team members.
- Any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position.

PREFERRED
Education and Experience:
- Snoqualmie Casino Career Development Track Series completion.
- Hotel and/or Casino experience.
Snoqualmie Casino exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
