Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Director of Cybersecurity Solutions to join our Solutions Innovation Group (SIG). SIG was founded on the premise that entrepreneurially-minded business and engineering teams can deliver high-quality, innovation solutions by working closely with the defense and intelligence personnel but doing so outside of the traditional government process. This novel approach allows us to deliver high-impact prototypes and field-ready solutions to the warfighter faster and more affordably.
Candidate will work remotely but be able to support on-site visits, working sessions, and events across the US but primarily in the Greater Boston, Naval Air Station Patuxent River and Greater Washington DC areas.
Responsibilities:
As a Director of Cybersecurity Solutions, you will have an opportunity to both lead and actively participate in the design, development, and implementation of innovative, security-compliant, software, hardware, and networked solutions. You will serve as the team’s authority on a range of mission-critical areas including cyber security, information assurance, Risk Management Framework, NSA Raise-the-Bar, and NCDSMO guidelines and mandates. These cyber security responsibilities should build upon your already extensive hardware, software, operating system, and network experience and expertise.
Job duties include:
- Lead and support internal R&D efforts to design and develop innovative technologies and approaches that meet the ever-changing cross-domain and multi-level security needs of our customers.
- Lead and support engagement with cross-domain/cybersecurity leadership and influencers across the Government to brief, negotiate, gain acceptance, and advocate for novel technologies and approaches.
- Lead and support prospective customer discovery sessions to understand and document their unique operational needs and cross-domain challenges
- Leverage your extensive experience in cross-domain technologies, cybersecurity, deployment environments, Government policies, mandates, and guidance to architect viable solutions.
- Support the development of a Bill of Material to quote and acquire all components required for the target solution.
- Support engagement with the relevant Government security authorities to identify and document information assurance, authority to operate, and assessment and authorization requirements and their process to secure them.
- Collaborate with the team to conduct information assurance/vulnerability scanning, auditing, and remediation of security findings to ensure compliance with government information assurance policy.
- Support internal teams and external partners in the development of documentation and management of the process required to secure and the necessary authority to operate and authorization and acceptance.
- Support the set-up, installation, configuration, testing, and demonstration of prototype or field-ready capabilities on behalf of the customer or group.
- Provide guidance on set-up, installation, configuration, management, and maintenance of NSA Raise-the-Bar compliant development environments.
- Engage experts across the Government, partner, and contractor community and remain current on relevant policies and guidance to facilitate awareness, adoption, or development of security controls and solutions that address the communities operational and security requirements.
