Must be fully vaccinated. For Day Hab program - Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm . Union membership with medical benefits and a 403(b) savings plan. Good for someone who can only work days -- no nights and weekends!! Union position!! Pension with full benefits.
DSPs must have a high school diploma or GED. The person is required to possess a valid New York State driver's license. Also, experience and/or desire to work with a developmentally disabled population. Ability to obtain or already have Certifications in approved OPWDD SCIP, AMAP training and First Aid/CPR. We will train if you do not have SCIP, AMAP or CPR. All eligible applicants will be processed through a background screening process.
Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide supervision and ensure safety and well-being of the person(s) assigned to them. They assist the individual(s) with activities of daily living, and access the community with the individual. A DSP will help individuals with disabilities lead meaningful lives.
